Coventry City manager Andy Thorn felt City kept the Forest fans quiet before giving them two soft goals.
Speaking to the Press Association about the 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest which was City's ninth consecutive away defeat, Thorn, whose words will be little comfort to those who spent a lot of time and money getting to this game, only to be sadly let down, said: It was a strange game because we were comfortable for long periods and in all honesty I never felt really threatened.
"We quietened the crowd down but to concede the first goal in the manner we did was very disappointing. It was really soft. The lad has picked it up so deep and no one goes near him. He should have been stopped up the pitch a long way from our goal.
"i came to try and win the game and I genuinely felt it was there for us today but now we have to pick ourselves up.
"We are back at home next week and our form there has been decent.
"We've lost today but there is nothing in it down there. Whoever holds their nerve and has a bit about them will stay up."
