Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he cannot explain why City continually let in late goals to lose matches.
Speaking to the CT’s Alan Poole, Thorn said: “It’s happening every week and I just can’t tell you why.
“It’s all about managing the game – when you’re going into the final stages of a match you first and foremost have to make sure that you’re solid, you don’t make mistakes, you don’t concede.
“Everybody’s made aware of that; we talk about it, we address it, we work on it but we just don’t learn. We’re on a break but we give the ball away straight away and suddenly we’re wide open. I can’t tell you why we don’t just put the into the corner so the referee blows his whistle.
“Once again they gave me absolutely everything and I’ve got no complaints at all about their workrate and their commitment. But we’ve got to be a lot cuter, we’ve got to use our brains more.
“It’s really disappointing because this was a big opportunity for us to close the gap at the bottom and we didn’t take it.”
