Coventry City caretaker manager Andy Thorn refused to blame Marlon King for giving away a penalty which allowed Derby County to snatch a 2-2 draw at Pride Park this afternoon.
Speaking to the Press Association, Thorn said: "I don't want to dwell on it. We played some terrific stuff today and even at 2-2 I said we are not settling for this, let's have a proper go even if we win 6-4.
"The attitude and application for 85 minutes was bang on but we had a five-minute sloppy spell and got punished. But we gave a great account of ourselves.
"Marlon scored a good goal and worked his socks off for the team, he just made a mistake.
"We are disappointed not to get the three points and that shows just how far we have come in a short space of time. It's positives all the way and onwards and upwards for the club.
"The players' attitude in the second half after losing a two-goal lead was excellent. A lot of teams would have gone under but our boys showed real character."
