Sears, who celebrates his 21st birthday tomorrow, was on a three month loan at the Ricoh Arena last season but missed some of that due to an ankle injury and he said to This Is Scunthorpe: "It was quite hard because I wasn't really in the team and was used as a sub.
"But when I went there they were on such a good run, I think they'd won nine straight games, so it was hard to change a winning team.
"I broke into the team, played a game, got injured in training and it was very stop-start.
"I was up there for three months and probably only played about three or four times properly. But I enjoyed the time I had there.
"It was just a shame I couldn't show what I can do because the injury put me out for a couple of weeks."
