Coventry City winger David Bell says that he feels for Carl Baker who came in a fair bit of stick against Barnsley on Saturday.
Baker had received a good bit of criticism during the defeat against Nottingham Forest and not helped by comments that he felt that he did ok in that game, he was heavily criticised by some of City supporters in the East and Stands before he was replaced by David Bell ten minutes into the second half of the game with Barnsley.
Speaking to the CT’s Andy Turner, Bell said: “I feel for Bakes because you don’t want to hear stuff like that from your own fans.
“It’s never nice and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
“It was just one of those games and it happens like that sometimes.
"Obviously the fans were frustrated because the game was a bit scrappy and we weren’t winning atthe time, so I feel for him a bit because it is not nice to see.
“But I’m sure he’ll bounce back from that because he’s a lively lad.
"He’ll be disappointed with the reception he got when he came off but he’ll pick himself up and go again.”
