Josh McQuoid has said that he feels sharp ahead of Coventry City's opening game of the season at Bradford City.
McQuoid, who has joined City on loan from AFC Bournemouth until January 23rd, told the Coventry Telegraph's James Rodger: Everybody has been really welcoming."
"I knew a lot about the club - it didn't need to be sold. It's a big club, one of the biggest in the league. It was a no brainer
"I feel sharp. I've had a full pre-season. "I don't want to big myself up but I like to come into the hole and if I'm playing Saturday I'll be ready.
"I'm always hoping to start and if I am I'll do my best. If not I'll make an impact from the bench
"If you know you're starting every week it allows complacency. Having competition for places is healthy and helps push you forward.
"I definitely see myself as a striker. I've been used out wide but I have come here to be a striker. The manager has told me he sees me as a front man and it's nice to have that faith"
