Jordan Clarke has said that he needs a fresh start.
Clarke has spent his whole career at Coventry City and has been loaned out to Yeovil Town until January 5th initially.
Speaking to the Western Gazette, Clarke said:“That’s just football at the end of the day. It changes from day to day, behind the scenes things happen and as a player you have got to get on with it.
“This is my career and job. I have to make the most of it and when opportunities like this come up I’m more than happy to take it
“I have been at Coventry since the age of 8 so some would say I was due a testimonial, but I’m too young for that,” he joked. “I needed a fresh start and I’m glad I’ve come to a place like this.
“The loan is until January and any longer just depends on both clubs. I’m just here to play football and help the club. I want to be consistent and defend well to help the team win the games.
“I would like to be seen as a leader. I will be very vocal on the pitch. I would like to get us as high a position in the league as possible.
“I’m quite quick and I’m very aggressive. I played as a centre half for most of last season and some may think I’m the shortest ever but I’m happy from centre back to right back.
“They can expect the unexpected. I will be up one end of the pitch one moment and the next I will be in the goal mouth at the other end – we will have to see what happens.”
