James McPake has said that he did not want to leave Coventry City and wishes the club all the best whilst he is on loan for the rest of the season at SPL side Hibernian.
“I have never asked to leave Coventry, just that I want to play games and I obviously hope to get the games I need now,” said McPake to the CT’s Andy Turner.
“I have a year left at Coventry but for the next four months I will be a Hibs player. But come the summer I will be back down to Coventry when I hope to be a lot fitter.
“I will be more than happy to play for the club again. I have never had a problem with the manager, just wanted to get games, and I am sure the fans understand that.
“This is an opportunity for me and I wish Coventry the very best in the next few months.
“I have got a lot of friends at the club and it will be the first result I will look for on a Saturday afternoon.”
