Coventry City defender Ben Turner has said that he wants more to play more matches next season.
The centre half, a product of City's Academy said to the CT: "I got into the low twenties in terms of first team appearances last season and this year I almost got into the thirties so hopefully, fingers crossed. I can get to 30 plus appearances next season which will be progress again.
"I don't want to be playing thirty games when I am clinging on to my place. I want to be doing well and holding my own place in a team that is doing well, so if I can do that I will be happy.
"There is me, James McPake, Ellott Ward, and Scott Dann all vying for the same two positions at the moment.
"The gaffer may decide to bring someone else in. I don't know, but to be honest, I wouldn't want to be at a club where you play because you are the only person to play in that position. That's no good for anyone. But hopefully, whoever he brings in or whoever I am up against I will be competitive in training and in matches and I will try to get my chance in the team that's my target."
