Crowds have been down so far but speaking ahead of the club's biggest league game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday, Boothroyd told Sky Blue Player: "I have been delighted with our support home and away. My aim is to fill the Ricoh Arena but I know that will take time and results.
"But there is absolutely no questioning those who have been there for us this season - we have had terrific backing from our fans at games.
"This is a local derby and that generates an atmosphere of its own. It would be great to see our biggest crowd of the season and our aim is to give them the bragging rights over their local rivals."
