Coventry City forward Cody McDonald has said that he wants to be involved with City’s first team for the remainder of the season.
The forward who came on to get City an equaliser against Crystal Palace last night, told Sky Blue Player:"Obviously it's a nice feeling to get a goal in the way I did against Palace. It was almost the perfect comeback for me but to be fair on balance I think we deserved more than a point but that's football.
"It was just nice for me to come on again and get a few more minutes than I did against Leicester on Saturday because it's been a frustrating few months for me so I want to play a part in what's left of this season.
"To be honest I thought we dominated the whole game and on reflection we're disappointed to only come away with a draw. Having said that we can take this performance and look towards Birmingham City on Saturday.
"We've matched pretty much every team we've played so far this season but the year has flown by for me because I've been out for so long. Now I want to do my part, help the club however I can this season, get a good pre-season under my belt and come back raring for next season as well.
"At the moment though I'm really up for the challenge that's in front of us and after the last few months I've had hopefully I can get another opportunity and that I can take it like I did against Palace and help us get some good results under our belt."
