Frank Nouble has said that he wants to stay at Coventry City.
Faced with an uncertain future at Ipswich Town, Nouble's last game for City is against Walsall on Saturday.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Nouble said: Championship club.
“My last game is Saturday but I have already said to the manager that I want to stay so it’s up to the club now.
“I do like it here and I told him after I’d been left out, but I also said I want to be playing because it won’t be the happiest times for me if I’m not.
“But looking at the overall picture I know that once I’m back in the team I’ll stay in because I know I am one of the players who can make a difference when we’re attacking, and he agrees.
“I am under no illusions how well Ipswich are doing. If they were struggling it might be a different story but they are second in the league and doing well.
“I know I wouldn’t be involved if I went back so, for me, I have got to look at what I am doing and I’m happy here.
“If they want to extend my stay I’ve agreed to that already. I’m just waiting to see what they want to do. I don’t really want to be looking elsewhere.
“Ipswich have agreed there wouldn’t be a fee so it’s up to the clubs to sort it out.
“My contract is finished there at the end of the season so I think it will be another loan until the end of the season and if I do well then I am pretty sure Coventry will want me to stay.
“The squad is good here and I don’t think it’s too late to do well in this league. If we win three games on the bounce we’re back in it. We just need to get that momentum going again and we’ll be pushing at the right end.”
