Former Coventry City manager Iain Dowie could be getting a job at Blackburn Rovers.
Dowie, who was doing a reasonable job at City until then Chairman Ray Ranson decided that he could not work with him, would come in as an assistant to Alan Shearer if Blackburn decide to go with the former England international and now television pundit to replace former City Coach Steve Kean in the Ewood Park hot seat.
According to The People this morning, former City captain Tim Sherwood is still the favourite but the fact that Tottenham will require compensation and Sherwood wanting a 'sizable transfer kitty to be made available' could prove a stumbling block to his appointment.
Former City manager Eric Black continues in charge of the team who have now dropped to ninth in the Championship table.
