Coventry City defender Richard Wood has said that he would like to stay at the Sky Blues.
Wood, who is the highest paid City player is out of contract at the end of June, told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I’ve not spoken to the manager about it and no-one has said anything to me.
“I think he wants to have a look at me and that’s why he put me back in but I can’t really say anything else. I have got to keep playing and see these last three games out and see where it goes.”
Having played the majority of his career at a higher level it would come as no surprise if the player opted to look for a Championship club.
However, he said: “I’d like to stay. I have moved to the area and am settled here with my family but I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
