Nuneaton Town boss Kevin Wilkin has thanked Coventry City for the game on Wednesday night.
A crowd of 1955 watched a dour 0-0 draw and Wilkin told the CT's Nuneaton Correspondent Derek Brown: "The crowd turnout of almost 2,000 was superb and the Chairman will be pleased with a few quid in the pot.
"I would like to thank Coventry for bringing such a strong squad because it makes a big difference to local sides like ourselves and gives us a platform on which to build going into the season.
"We have got a good relationship with Coventry City and hopefully that is something we can develop and build on."
