The striker signed from Colchester helped change the game at Watford on Saturday and City boss Aidy Boothroyd joined those City supporters who have heaped praise on his performance.
"Clive Platt is a fantastic player and he was absolutely outstanding against Watford, " said Boothroyd to the CT.
"If his name was Clive Plattini then everybody would be raving about him but hecause he is Clive Platt who used to play in the lower leagues for Rochdale and Colchester, people have pigeon-holed him."
