Coventry City new midfielder Carl Baker has said that he will be giving everything he has when he pulls on a City shirt.
Baker has come through Sunday League football and fully appreciates what it is to be a professional footballer.
Speaking to the CT, he said: "I am a bit of a late developer at this level and I appreciate that 100 per cent because I have seen the other side of it.
I played Sunday league when I was growing up and carrying the goalposts and putting the flags out, so to come here and see the stadium and this pitch and the staff, it’s surreal to be honest, and I definitely appreciate every single moment.
"And hopefully that will be reflected in my game and work ethic. I think even if things aren’t going well the fans will still get behind you if you give them 110 per cent every time you go on the pitch.
"I think it is really important to have a good relationship with the fans because they are the ones who will be cheering me on and hopefully giving me confidence.
If things aren’t going well they won’t see me with my head down because I will be giving everything I have got."
