James McPake has said that he has heard nothing about a bid from Hibernian to sign him on a permanent deal from Coventry City.
Yesterday, there were plenty of media reports of a £100,000 bid for McPake by the Scottish Premier League club but speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, McPake said: "That might be the case but I don't know that.
"In the first press conference I did I was as honest as I am being now. I was up here for three and half months and once that's over I will go back to being a Coventry player.
"I'll be reporting back for pre-season training on July 1 unless someone tells me otherwise.
"That's out of my hands but I expect to be at Ryton on July 1.
"I'll get the last couple of games over with first and then if someone calls me, fine, but I have never looked for a move away from Coventry.
"I needed to play football and the manager agreed, and that's what's happened.
"I'd be lying if I said it hasn't crossed my mind and you hear the rumours that this or that is going to happen but, at the minute I'm a Coventry player and I full expect to be back down there.
"I've not spoken to Andy Thorn about it."
