Coventry City Academy Boss Greg Rioch has offered to pay the Academy rent if it means that the young Sky Blues can use the facilities at the Alan Higgs Centre.
City's Academy have not been able to play at or use the Allard Way based facility since last week, when it emerged that a bill of £14k including £2k for rent had not been paid.
Coventry City FC Holdings yesterday issued a lengthy statement and there were reports of a deal being agreed.
However, speaking to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire this morning, Greg Rioch who has done a superb job in the six years that he has been Academy Boss said that he would stump up the money to pay the rent so City could use the Higgs Centre once again.
