Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that he will take the pressure off the City players.
Speaking at this morning's press conference, Pressley said to Alan Poole and James Rodger of the Coventry Telegraph: "It's my responsibility to get self confidence back into the players. I've told the players to allow me to take the pressure. That's the manager's role.
"The important thing for the players is delivering what we want to deliver... they need to black out external factors.
"Tuesday was a massive disappointment. You can't guarantee good results in football, but we NEED to perform well. Good performances lead to good results. Tuesday was nowhere near good enough.
"Of course formations matter, otherwise you wouldn't get different formations and systems.
"Back to the basics means defending properly. We have been playing three at the back and, as a defence, it's the responsibility not to concede goals.
"We had six players under 20 in the squad on Tuesday. Part of the education of young players is those difficult nights. It's all part of the process of their development. Players must get through tough periods. I can't protect them all the time."
