Speaking to the CT, Clingan who was omitted at the start of the season by Aidy Boothroyd said: "I pleased with my own performance but I am just gald to be back in the team.
"I didn't have a good start to the season but I have worked hard in training and thankfully I am back in the team now.
"What I have to do is to keep working hard and helping the team to get wins so I stay in the team.
"I know there is competition for places. Michael Doyle is sitting on the bench and he's a good player and there is Aron Gunnarsson who can play in the centre as well, so it is healthy for the squad.
"It's nice to hear when the manager says you played well and great for your confidence but you can't get too big-headed because this game can soon kick you in the teeth if you think you have got somewhere, so I will just keep my head down and keep plugging away and trying to help the team."
