Joe Cole has said that he is happy at Coventry City.
The former England international signed from Aston Villa for the rest of the season and he told the Coventry Telegraph: "I’m very happy. The manager, boys and coaching staff have made me feel very welcome and I feel a responsibility to help the team, guide the ship to promotion.
"You never know what’s around the corner in football.
"I love a challenge and I need a challenge in life. I enjoy coming to work every day and it’s nice playing in a team winning games and pushing for promotion.
"I have played seven games, hopefully influenced a few and I feel a big responsibility to help the younger lads because I spoke to a lot of senior players when I was their age.
"So I want to pass the torch on with my advice and experience.
"The gaffer has been brilliant with me and my fitness. I feel we should have won every game since I have been here. We have got so many good players and there’s a nice balance of youth and experience.
"It doesn’t matter if I play 60/70 minutes and affecting the game or 90 minutes, the main thing is the club and getting the three points and helping get my teeth into helping this club get back to where it should be.
"You feel the momentum is building and if we can beat Walsall it will be a good statement.
"We want people through the door and keep building that momentum.
"It’s going to be a big test against Walsall who look comfortable but we have done our homework.
"It’s a well supported club, the fans took over the stadium at Crewe and, for me, it’s the start of a project and we need to keep pushing on.
"It would be nice to get a few more back in the door and feel what’s happening here.”
