New Coventry City signing Hermann Hreidarsson has said that he is looking forward to the challenge of trying to keep Coventry City in the Championship.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, the left back who has joined on a free transfer for the rest of the season from Portsmouth said: "I am looking forward to the challenge, that's for sure. There are still a lot of points in the pot to play for.
"I will bring the average age of the team up a little bit! Hopefully I can bring that little bit of experience to the side in one or two positions and can help the team.
"I know that we have not been that far off in matches and that there is a lot of ability in the team so if you can get on a good run, you can build confidence and the team can play with a bit more freedom.
"The manager was keen to sign me and that's what matters. If he believes in you, you know you will get your chance. It's happened quite quickly but I was happy to come on board to help the team.
"I want to be playing football and I want to be there at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, feeling the adrenaline kicking in as we walk out onto the pitch.
"This is a big challenge and I'm looking forward to it."
