I'm Not Going Anywhere - Westwood

Coventry City keeper Keiren Westwood has said that he wants to stop at the Sky Blues.

Westwood was linked with moves to Premier League clubs during the transfer window but although grateful for the interest, he wants to play football and feels that sitting on a bench as a second choice keeper would not help his career.

"I am only 24, so I have a lot of developing to go really," said Westwood to Setanta Sports.

"As long as I keep playing well for my club, I'll be happy. And if I can make any Ireland squads then I will be delighted.

"There is always a lot of speculation in January, but there was no interest that I knew of.

"Maybe there was something behind the scenes, but nothing came out front. I don't think there was anything in place at any stage.

"If I went as a second-choice somewhere, it might hinder my progress. I want to stay in the Ireland squad and that only way to do that is by playing football."
