Former Coventry City loanee Dominic Samuel has said that he is not going back to the Ricoh Arena to see old friends.
Samuel who is on loan to Gillingham from Reading for 28 days, proved popular amongst City supporters before his season was ended thanks to a crunching tackle from Romain Vincelot who will be the Sky Blues line up tomorrow.
Samuel told Kent On Line's Luke Cawdell: “This is business time and I’m not going there just to see all my old friends.
“It’s a game of football and we’re going there to get three points and stay top of the table.
“I know the majority of the team and the manager and it will be weird going back. It’s not going to be anything personal, it’s just business on Saturday and I’m not going to hold back.
“It’s a game where both teams are fighting for first place and I’m with Gillingham. I will be fighting for them and doing well for them.
“It is a competitive sport and it’s us and them. Me, I’m a winner, I always like to win and I’m going to take everything I can into Saturday’s game.
“The boys are raring to go, it’s first against second and it’s what football is all about. You want a challenge and you want to see how far you can push yourself against another good team.”
