Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he will not throw in the towel and resign as City manager.
Speaking to the CT's Alan Poole, Thorn said: "You've got to have belief in yourself, belief in your players; you have to stick at it. Anyone can throw in the towel but I've never done that in my life so I'm not going to start now.
"If I'm told I'm not good enough to do it then fine, that's other people's opinion - it's part and parcel of what you do so you've just got to get on with it. People talk to me about coaching badges and things like that; just to clear one thing up, I did my badge last summer and I'm doing two more this year.
"But I'll tell you one thing, you can have as many badges as Custer but no course prepares you for what you have to go through - it's something you have to deal with yourself.
"I get frustrated at times because I'm desperate to do well for this club. The supporters are desperate, too, and we've got to keep working hard, trying to give them something.
"It's obvious there have been obstacles but we can't blame that, we've got to get on with it. It hurts at times but I've told the boys we're the only ones who can pull us out of this.
"To be fair, they don't need me to tell them the situation we're in. In a way we've been getting away with it because the other teams around us haven't been able to pull clear and we've still got to play most of the teams in the bottom half of the table, a lot of them at home where our form has been pretty decent of late.
"It's amazing what a win and three points can do and whatever happens, regardless of how big or small the squad is, we'll roll up our sleeves and give it a go.
"I want to get us away from where we are to where I think we should be. That would be a massive achievement and I want to be sitting here before the last game of the season saying 'there you go, job done!'
