Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson has said that with the Sky Blues looking to attract much needed investment, it is imperative that they remain in the Championship.
Relegation from the second tier could cost the Sky Blues around £5m in payments and losses from a reduction in crowd numbers, something which owners SISU would struggle to sustain on top of the £4m the club is currently losing per season.
Speaking to the Press Association, Ray Ranson said: "It's well documented that we're looking for new investment into the football club and we're speaking to a number of interested parties, so it's imperative this club is in the Championship to attract that investment."
