According to media reports, Liverpool are thought to be interested in former Coventry City defender Scott Dann.
The Centre Half, who was sold by Ray Ranson to Birmingham City, missed much of the season after tearing his hamstring in The Brummies' Carling Cup Semi-Final against West Ham.
Birmingham have missed him in defence and were relegated out of the Premier League yesterday following a 2-1 defeat at Tottenham.
Sky Sports are reporting: "Liverpool have held a long-term interest in Dann and the defender is thought to be high on the list of Kenny Dalglish's summer transfer targets.
However, a number of the other top-six clubs in England are thought to be weighing up moves for the cultured stopper as he would be a better value for money option than several other defensive targets."
