The Icelander who scored City's first goal after 91 seconds and provided the cross for Gary McSheffrey to hit the winner in a 2-1 victory told Sky Blue Player: "The manager said after the game that it was important to pick up points even if we haven't played well and we did that tonight.
"We didn't play as well as we did against Preston but we didn't get anything against Preston so we wanted to make up for last Saturday.
"The lads are buzzing with the points though so hopefully we can take that feeling into then game against Hull this Saturday."
