Coventry City manager Mark Robins has joked that the Sky Blues wearing their 1987 retro kit is nothing more than an excuse to sell kits.
Robins joked with the Daily Star when he said: “It’s about selling kits!
“We’ve had a few kits in the cupboards for 20 years!
“Seriously, the thinking behind them is to invoke the memories. It’s special for the supporters.
“It’s not every day you play against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. It’s a great fixture for everyone involved in the club.
“It’s a big game, the FA Cup is a big deal. You aim to win everything you enter but we’re realistic as well.
“We know we’re massive underdogs and if we can get something then fantastic.
“But we want to give a good account of ourselves against some of the best players in Europe.”
