Coventry City new defender Kevin Kilbane has said that the priority in pre-season is getting the players to play as a team.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, ahead of Saturday's opening friendly at Hinckley United, Kilbane said "I think it's about the training and about us getting fit. With the new lads coming through the door as well, it is about us getting used to playing with each other.
"But when the games start coming round, that's what you look forward to as you just want to get started. I hope we get off to a good start at the weekend but it isn't the be all and end all.
"It's about getting the team ready and getting a bit of cohesion together so when August comes around, we are ready to attack the league."
