Coventry City's on loan midfielder Oliver Norwood feels that there is a belief in the City dressing room that the team will continue as the longest serving team in the Championship.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Norwood said: "It’s definitely do-able and I tell you now, there’s a real belief in that dressing room that we’re staying up.

"It was an unbelievable finish from Cody.

"I put the ball through to him and I was thinking please, please, please finish it and, to be fair to him, he smashed it in the top corner and it was game over.

"It’s been a long time coming, that first away win.

We’ve left it late with six games to go but there is massive momentum in the dressing room now.

"This is the business end of the season but we have cut out the silly mistakes and I think we’ve grown up into proper men now.

"We’ve got to play the teams around us now and they’re the biggest games of the season for us against Peterborough, Bristol, Millwall and Doncaster and hopefully we’ll wrap it up before we go to Southampton on the last day.

"I wasn’t here when we were eight or nine points adrift but there was always a belief in that dressing room because there are some good footballers in there.

"We’re on a run, we’ve got the momentum, we’ve got the belief and we don’t feel like we’re going to concede.

"We’re not getting carried away because there’s still a long way to go and a lot of points left to play for.

"Our home form has been unbelievable since Christmas and we’re back at the Ricoh on Saturday and we’ve got to pick up three points there before the big one at Bristol on Monday which could be the decider."
