Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has admitted to being rather cautious about the players he is trying to bring in.

"I've been making phone calls," said Chris Coleman, who is looking for permanent deals as well as players on loan,to the CT.

"I've been doing that since I've been here and I would be if we were in the top six or top two.

"Mick McCarthy, Alex McLeish and Steve Coppell are all doing it because you can never think you've got enough, you're always trying to improve.

"I'm hopeful on one or two, wishful about one or two, and praying about one or two.

"Until I've got a player in front of me with a pen in his hand I won't take anything for granted. I've had people at the training ground in the past, shaking my hand and holding up a jersey, and two hours later I get a phone call telling me they've signed for somebody else."
