Coventry City defender Martin Cranie has said that he has a good partnership at the back with Richard Keogh.
Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Cranie said: “I think we are both similar sorts of players. We both look good on the ball and there is great communication between us.
"We are great friends off the pitch and we are playing really well together at the minute.
“I am just coming back from my rib injury but fingers crossed I will stay injury free for the rest of the season.
“He only lives two minutes down the road from me and I pick him up every morning for training so I see a lot of him outside of football as well.
“He’s a great player. He’s got every attribute to be a centre-back – he’s quick, he can play and reads the game well. He’s still played every minute of every game which is a massive achievement and long may that go on for him.
“He’s a good leader and had the armband a few games now. I think I had it once and we lost so it was stripped off me, but he’s doing a great job while Sammy is out injured.”
