Moving to a new club in a different country can be a tough prospect for a player but Coventry City's latest signing Gary Deegan won't experience the lonliness that some players go through as he has an Aunty living in Coventry.
Speaking to the CT, the Dubliner who joined City from Bohemians, said: "I was born and bred in Dublin but I actually have an aunty over here in Coventry – my Aunty Margaret.
"Her name is Margaret Dean and she lives near the city centre and I went and called in on her last week to have a little chat with her, which was nice.
"She’s my mum’s sister although I don’t know how she came to come over or when, and I have a couple of cousins over here as well, so it is nice to have family over here because if I ever feel a bit lonely or homesick I can just pop round and see her for a cup of tea.
"She goes over to Ireland every now and again but I hadn’t seen her for a good while until I saw her last week.
