The midfielder becomes the third City player to be brought back to the club by Aidy Boothroyd and told Sky Blue Player: "It's good to be back to be honest. Obviously the club has changed alot, the training ground is completely unrecognisable from the one that I left and there's a good feel about the place.
"I was unfortunate enough to be part of the team that was relegated so in many respects I feel that I have unfinished business here.
"You don't have to set the Championship alight to be successful but you do have to be in the right place at the right time.
"In this league you need to perform consistently well so if I can do anything at all to help the club get back to where they belong then I will obviously be more than happy to do so.
"I did have options this summer but I felt that having already been at Coventry City once before and knowing the club that it was the right place for me to go.
"Any experience, whether positive or negative, is good providing you use it in the right way and learn from it so hopefully I can put my experiences to use here and help the club this season."
