Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he has liked Alex Nimely for a long time.
The forward from Manchester City has completed the necessary paperwork and has signed until the end of the season.
The 20 year od is expected to be in Coventry on Monday and Thorn told the Press Association: "Alex is a very, very talented young player for his age in this country. I've liked him for a long time.
"He gives us a dimension we haven't got and haven't had at the club for a long time - excellent pace and he goes off the shoulder. He's played in wide positions and for me he's an out-and-out centre-forward and goalscorer.
"He's a big talent and there's a lot of clubs after him, Brian Marwood (football administration officer at Manchester City) has done us a big favour and they've agreed to let him come to us. The paperwork is there at the moment and I'm just waiting any minute now that he signs for us. Everything's been agreed with the boy and the two clubs."
