Coventry City forward Cody McDonald has admitted some of the blame for City’s dismal form this season which sees them in a three way scrap to avoid relegation with two games left to play.
Speaking to the CT’s Andy Turner, McDonald said; “Our results haven’t matched our performances.
“We just haven’t been scoring as many as we should bearing in mind the chances we’ve been creating.
“I’ve missed some that I normally wouldn’t – a couple against Millwall on Tuesday – but I’ve still got confidence in my own ability and if I get a sniff against Doncaster this weekend I’ll go for it.
“It’s been a stop-start season for me. It’s always a problem when you miss pre-season because it can take you to Christmas to catch up and just as I was getting into the swing of things and I got injured so I had to start again.”
