Scottish club Celtic, who had shown interest in Coventry City's goal keeper Keiren Westwood have now turned their attention to David James.
James was briefly linked with a possible move to The Ricoh in the event that Westwood was lured to another club, but Celtic have confirmed they are talking to James, thereby ending their interest in Westwood.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon told the Daily Mail: "We are still a long way off and it's early days in terms of negotiation, but just the fact he is interested is very encouraging from our point of view. I want to get the best goalkeeper I possibly can.
"Not only for the league and Europe but also someone who can fill Artur's shoes and he's one who can.'
