Coventry City' young striker Shaun Jeffers has been speaking to the club's website and has said he would love to get a goal .
The 18 year old academy graduate made his first team home league debut for the club when he came on as substitute very late in last Saturday's home game against Preston.
Jeffers had made his club debut last August in the Carling Cup defeat against Hartlepool and was a substitute at Barnsley earlier this season.
Jeffers told Sky Blue Player: "It felt great to come on towards the end and while I've played for the first team in the Carling Cup this season, it was a brilliant feeling to get my first taste of the league."
"It's been a great season so far and I just hope I get more minutes on the pitch before the season finishes because I would love to get a goal. It's been a good week for me because I scored for the academy against Leicester on Tuesday so to now get to Saturday and make my league debut is brilliant."
Jeffers was awarded a 12 month professional contract by Coventry City which will keep him at the club through the 2010/11 season.
