Jimmy Knox RIP

The Coventry City Former Players Association was greatly saddened to learn that former Coventry City player nd CCFPA member Jimmy Knox died on Christmas Eve 2012 at the age of 77.

Jimmy came to Highfield Road from Raith Rovers and played a brace of league games for the Bantams in 1957-58 before moving into non-league with Rugby Town, Leamington and Corby Town. He then joined Banbury United for season 1968/69, making 47 appearances in his first season, predominantly in the half back line.

He returned to Rugby after one season with the Oxfordshire club and subsequently managed AP Leamington, guiding them to the Conference. He then returned to Rugby in a managerial capacity and took VS Rugby into the Southern League and the Premier Division winning the FA Vase along the way.
