Coventry City are expected to sign Joe Cole tomorrow.
Cole is expected to end his contract with Aston Villa and come to Ryton to sign a deal with the Sky Blues at least for the rest of the season,
Tony Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “There are just a few different parts to the deal but I think it’s moving closer.
“I would hope Joe will come in tomorrow so that we can conclude everything so that he’s going to be available to play against Walsall next Tuesday.
“At the moment he’s an Aston Villa player so he can’t train with us so the sooner it concludes the sooner he can continue training, and I think he needs to keep training to keep his body strong.
“He’s not training with Villa as far as I know. I’m pretty sure his advisors have been having conversations with Villa over the last few days trying to get the right agreement and then things might get signed and we can move forward.”
