Jones, himself a former City player said to Cardiff City's Official website: "Craig was back in on Saturday. He's up and running now and will travel with us to Coventry and we'll make a decision prior to the game.
"He has a programme, and if we push him into three games in a week he runs the risk of picking up something.
We all learned a lesson with what happened after he played for Wales back in September so soon after playing for us."
