Coventry City's 19 year old defender Jordan Clarke has been caught up in heated exchanges on the social networking site Twitter.
In a tweet that had nothing at all to do with football or the current plight Coventry City find themselves in, Clarke tweeted a message saying what a great day he was having.
Unfortunately for Clarke some fans took a dim view of him enjoying himself and criticised the defender for not caring about the club.
The Coventry born player and former Coundon Court schoolboy responded in typical defender style saying: "I enjoyed my day because I've got a life. I can't do nothing about what goes on with the board so why worry myself about it?"
Unfortunately he then went a bit further and posted an obscene tweet about a Coventry City fan which them prompted a string of insulting tweets aimed at Clarke from other City fans.
The insulted fan replied to the tweet saying: "You're right I haven't got a life because I go and watch you useless bunch every Saturday. Remember I'll be at to the Ricoh Arena long after you've left."
Clarke responded by saying, "Just because I play football doesn't mean I'm not a normal person from Cov. Talking (like that) to me is like being rude to a random on the street."
He added: "Thanks to most of you lot. I didn't mean to be (rude) but I'm always going to defend myself, right? Anyway let's sort it out! Play up Sky Blues!"
