Welcome to Coventry City Former Players Association committee member Claus Bech Jorgensen who will be our special guest at the Sky Blues’ next home game against table toppers Tranmere Rovers this Wednesday night 16th January 2013.
Claus will be remembered as a combative forward who came from Bradford City in August 2003. An international for the Faroe Islands, Claus clocked up over 60 appearances for the Sky Blues scoring six times, most memorably perhaps, the Club’s first ever goal at the Ricoh against QPR in August 2005. He moved to Blackpool in 2006 and thence to Port Vale. Since hanging up his boots Claus has been developing his media and business careers and is proprietor of a local company Unique Floorcare Ltd which offers bespoke floor surface treatments for both commercial and industrial clients. Claus regularly attends Sky Blues games and joined CCFPA’s committee in October 2011.
Claus will be doing matchday analysis during the game for BBC CWR as well touring the corporate areas at the Arena before and after the game. We also expect that he will be introduced to the crowd at half-time as well as meeting the fans on the stage of Lady Gs in the G-Casino after the game. Thanks Claus!
We also hope to see many other Former Players present at the game including Ron Farmer, Lol Harvey, Brian Nicholas, Peter Wyer, Micky Gynn, Dave Bennett, Peter Hormantschuck, Bob Wesson, Kirk Stephens, Ian Goodwin, Bill Tedds, Gordon Simms, Ken Brown, Marcus Hall and Paul Culpin, so look out for them around and about the Legends Lounge!
