Claus Jorgensen has spoken about being allowed to look for another club.
The Faroe Islander who scored the first ever goal at the Ricoh, said to the CET: "I spoke to the manager last week, the day after picking up the keys to our new house.
"But I have to say it didn't come as a complete surprise and I had a feeling that he might be thinking that way. "In fact, I have probably known deep down that this was coming since before Christmas.
Jorgy On Being Released
"I scored against Millwall in a 1-0 home win and was dropped for the following game, after which I felt the manager had maybe made his mind up. "So I am disappointed because I feel I have done okay this season but not entirely surprised. That's business and the manager has got money to strengthen the squad.
"It is a shame because things were beginning to change for me under Micky Adams, under whom I have enjoyed my best run for Coventry, but he has made his decision and I have got to accept that."
