There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Coventry City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz during the week, with rumours and gossip suggesting he will be moving to his hometown club, initially on loan then sign permanently in January, but it is looking as if City's leading scorer will be staying at The Ricoh, for the time being anyway.
Southampton are understood to have made an enquiry about taking the 22 year old Jutkiewicz on loan until January, but were rebuffed. Jutkiewicz scored City's equaliser against Cardiff on Tuesday evening, taking his goal tally to seven for the season.
Middlesbrough are also keen of signing the striker who cost Coventry in the region of £300,000 from Everton in July 2010. He is currently valued at between £2 and £3 million which may prove too tempting for the owners Sisu and the board to resist.
