KCIC: Negotiations Are Not Taking Place

Last updated : 18 July 2014 By KCIC

After the high of the march, this week has been another low with everything we are hearing being that despite Fisher saying SISU will talk, SISU have not contacted ACL and there are no negotiations taking place

We desperately hope we're wrong but it’s looking very much like what we’re seeing is another sisu spin campaign, with Seppala’s open letter raising hopes of a return to the Ricoh Arena while in truth, SISU's strategy and tactics sadly don't change at all: pursuing legal routes not negotiation, acl not being paid money they are owed by SISU, SISUu using spin to create muddle and confusion and if it follows SISUS's usual pattern they will no doubt soon be claiming it’s all someone else’s fault

We would love sisu to prove us wrong but actions speak louder than words and if we judge SISU by their actions it points to just one thing: we are not returning to the Ricoh for the new season. And to be honest, after so many of sisu’s claims have proved to be completely untrue - forced out of the Ricoh, conspiracy against them, site of new ground to be announced in three weeks etc etc etc - does anyone believe a word they say anymore?

We are so desperate for some good news that we clutch at any hint or rumour of a return to the Ricoh Arena - and how we would love SISU to show they have contacted ACL and negotiations are happening - but is the truth what some people are now saying: the future of Coventry City F.C. lies in the hands of just one person – Joy Seppala - and she has no interest in football and no interest in Coventry; her only motivation is financial gain for herself and her investors?

There is no gloss to put on this – we truly believed there was a window of opportunity to get us back to the Ricoh for the new season but with no negotiations taking place the prospect of another season at NTFC is utterly depressing. As long as Coventry City Football Club exists, KCIC will continue to fight but we have to do so knowing that SISU chose to move to NTFC and are choosing to stay at NTFC for the coming season

Tough choices - Sky Blue Trust meeting Monday 21 July 7.30pm at The Squirrel CV1 2GY

  • kicking off the new season at NTFC means Coventry City fans will again have to make decisions no supporters should be faced with
  • this Monday - 21 July - Sky Blue Trust members will be voting on proposals about things like the sixfields boycott and contacting known or suspected sisu investors
  • after their fantastic efforts with the march, the Trust deserve a good turnout at their meeting
  • but Trust members can still vote even if they can’t make the meeting by using the ‘proxy’ form available at www.skybluetrust.co.uk/attachments/article/401/Proxy%20form.pdf
Full details of the Trust meeting are at www.skybluetrust.co.uk/index.php/agm
