Coventry City Assistant Manager Steve Kean has been talking about City's League Cup 1st Round tie against Aldershot Town.
Speaking to the club website, he said: "Any home fixture is a good fixture but I think we've got to bear in mind it'll be a tough game. Aldershot have got a bit of wind in their sails having recently been promoted.
"I know Gary Waddock pretty well from his time at QPR when we used to play against them at youth level and in friendlies. "He has very organised teams. Aldershot Town have played well this season and have been promoted so it will be a tough game but one that we're looking forward to and hopefully we can progress.
"We've always taken cup competitions seriously. When we were at Fulham we were fortunate enough to go quite far on in the FA Cup in particular. We got to the quarter finals where we lost out to Manchester United and as we have seen in last year's competitions, some of the smaller teams can progress, it doesn't have to be a Premier League club progressing all the way to the final so this is one we will take and hopefully push on.
"The fans have really got behind us ever since we've been at the Club and I'm sure there'll be a good atmosphere for this match."
