"The potential is there but we've got to be realistic and I don't expect it will be a massive crowd," said Coleman to the CT, speaking about tomorroow's expected crowd against Swansea.
"It might be a lot different six months down the line - if it was January or February and we were anywhere near the top six we'd probably be talking mid-20s.
"I'd love it if we had a bigger crowd than against Ipswich but I'd love it if we had the same crowd showing the same mentality. The fans were fantastic that day, just as they were at Barnsley and Doncaster - that helped us a lot and we need it again.
"They've been great so far in the way they have responded; the players and I certainly appreciate it and I know the chairman and the board do, too.
"Whatever crowd turns up I just hope they get behind the players again, and I can promise them we'll be working very hard to give them something to shout about."
